Hier ziet u een Tele objectief specifiek voor een Kodak Retina camera, een Retina Longar Xenon C, f : 4 / 80 mm van Schneider Kreuznach. Bereik van 2 meter tot oneindig. Scherpstellen kan met behulp van de afstandsmeter in de zoeker van de camera door draaien aan de scherpstelring voor het standaardobjectief, dat bij wisselen van het objectief op de camera achterblijft; de aldus gevonden waarde wordt met diezelfde scherpstelring op een andere markering (aangeduid met T van tele) aan de onderzijde van de camera ingesteld. Rond het tele objectief is ook een ring met afstanden aangebracht, maar die dient enkel om de scherptediepte bij verschillende diafragma's te kunnen aflezen; er wordt niets mee ingesteld!

Er was ook nog een groothoekobjectief verkrijgbaar voor de Retina. Het gebruik van beide objectieven wordt in de gebruiksaanwijzing van de camera uitvoerig beschreven; ik heb ook een aparte Nederlandstalige gebruiksaanwijzing voor deze objectieven. Voor dit objectief heb ik ook nog een mooie hardplastic houder, waarin de lens vastgezet en opgeborgen kan worden.

Alle accessoires voor de Retina zijn door mijn schoonvader Bert Verhoef rond 1956 gekocht en tegelijk met de camera in mijn bezit gekomen.

Here you see a telephoto lens specifically made for a Kodak Retina camera, a Retina Longar Xenon C, f : 4 / 80 mm made by Schneider Kreuznach. Focus range from 2 meters to infinity. Focusing can be done with help of the range finder in the viewfinder of the camera by turning the focusing ring for the standard lens, that stays on on the camera after changing lenses; the distance value thus found is set with the same focusing ring on another mark (indicated with T of tele) located elsewhere on the camera. There is also a ring with distances around the telephoto lens, but this only serves for determining the depth-of-field for different apertures, nothing is really adjusted with this ring!

There was also a wide-angle lens available for the Retina. The use of both lenses is described extensively in the operating manual of the camera; I also own a separate operating manual for these lenses in the Dutch language. For this lens I also have a nice hard plastic holder, in which the lens can be fastened and stored.

All accessories for the Retina were bought around 1956 by my father in law Bert Verhoef and came into my possession together with the camera.
