Spleetsluiter met 10 sluitertijden van 1 sec - 1/500 + B en flits. Ontspanknop is geblokkeerd voor dubbele opnamen. Handmatige instelling van sluitertijd en diafragma met behulp van wijzer in zoeker o.b.v. lichtmeting door de lens. Instelbare filmgevoeligheid voor lichtmeting. Diafragma springt op ingestelde stand bij indrukken aparte knop naast de lens die de lichtmeting activeert voor correcte lichtmeting. Sluiterknop kan geblokkeerd worden. Afstandsinstelling variabel via draairing rondom lens van 0,33 meter tot oneindig; scherpstelling met behulp van matglasbeeld zichtbaar in zoeker. Daarnaast ook nog een scherptedieptering op objectief. Variabel irisdiafragma, instelbaar van 1,8 tot 16. Verwisselbaar objectief Pentacon auto 1 : 1,8 / 50 mm met P-draad (Praktica draad). Filmtransport via handel met opnameteller en automatische stop. Doorzichtzoeker op geprojecteerd matglasbeeld. Spiegel klapt op bij afdrukken en komt weer automatisch terug. Stroomvoorziening lichtmeting door de lens via 1 knoopcel. Memoschijf voor type film (kleur, dia, zwart wit) en aantal opnamen (36, 20, 12).

Deze Pentor is een goedkoper broertje van de bekendere Oost-Duitse Praktica.

In september 2008 kreeg ik een identieke camera van de familie Oosting uit Son. De lens daarvan is qua benaming iets afwijkend: een Oreston 1.8 / 50 van Meyer Optik Görlitz. Bij die camera zit ook een 135 mm telelens van hetzelfde merk, zie onder accessoires bij lenzen.

Filmtansport via advance lever with frame counter and automatic stop. See-through viewfinder on projected image of the exposure lens. Mirror flips up at shutter release and returns automatically. Power supply from 1 mignon cell. Memodisk for type of film (color, transparancy, black and white) and number of exposures (36, 20, 12).

This Pentor is a cheaper version of the better known East German Praktica.
