Dit is de beroemde perscamera die zowat door alle Amerikaanse persfotografen werd gebruikt. Marilyn Monroe werd omstuwd door fotografen met deze camera in de hand.

Het is een inklapbare platencamera, plaatformaat 4 x 5 inch. Voorzien van een openklapbare achterwand met matglas, waarop het beeld van de opnamelens ondersteboven wordt geprojecteerd; de plaatcassette wordt vóór het matglas in de camera geschoven.

De camera heeft 2 sluiters: een spleetsluiter aan de achterkant met 3 snelheden: 1/60, 1/250 en 1/1000 + T en een Kodak centrale sluiter in de lens aan de voorkant met snelheden van 1 sec tot 1/400 + B en T. Keuze van  de sluiter met de schuifknop rechts (front or back)  waarna de niet gebruikte sluiter moet worden opengezet. Er is een afdrukknop rechts op het camerahuis voor beide sluiters. Beide sluiters moeten vooraf gespannen worden. De spleetsluiter is met name bedoelt voor snel bewegende onderwerpen.  

Afstandsinstelling variabel van 6 feet tot oneindig via verplaatsing van opnamegedeelte over geleiding met afstandschaal. Scherpstelling controleerbaar op matglas of via de gekoppelde afstandsmeter aan de zijkant. Die afstandsmeter moet gekalibreerd worden bij gebruik van verschillende lenzen. Verder is er nog een doorzichtzoeker bovenop en een raamzoeker.

Variabel irisdiafragma, instelbaar van 4,7 tot 36. Objectief Kodak Ektar f 4,7 127 mm. Het lensfront kan afgenomen worden en vervangen worden door een van de 9 andere lenzen voor deze camera.

De flitser is een standaard Graflex product voor deze camera. Hij wordt vastgemaakt aan de zijkant van de afstandsmeter en kan op 3 verschillende punten met de camera worden verbonden. Stroomvoorziening door 3 staafbatterijen. De lamp is een grote PF 100; bij deze camera zitten er 2 van Philips.

Bij de camera zitten een statief van Kodak (foto onder midden) en een opbergkoffer (foto onder rechts), waarin 5 plaathouders voor 2 platen en een Graphic film pack adapter.

This is the famous press camera that was used by most if not all press photographers in de USA. Marilyn Monroe was surrounded by photographers holding this camera in their hands.

It is a folding plate camera, plate size 4 x 5 inch. Supplied with a unfolding back with a ground glass, on which the image of the exposure lens is projected upside down; the film holder is shifted into the camera in front of the ground glas.

The camera has 2 shutters: a focal plane shutter at the back with 3 shutter speeds: 1/60, 1/250 and 1/1000 + T and a Kodak central shutter in the lens at the front with shutter speeds from 1 sec to 1/400 + B and T. Shutter selection is done with a shift at the right (front or back) after which the other shutter must be set open. There is a shutter release at the right of the camera housing witch operates both shutters. Both shutters have to be tensioned manually. The focal plane shutter is particularly used for fast moving objects.

Focusing variable from 6 feet to infinity by shifting the lens assembly over a rail on the ground plate with  distance scale. Focus can be controlled by looking at the image on the ground glass or by using the coupled rangefinder at the right side. The rangefinder must be callibrated if a different lens is used. Further there is an optical viewfinder at the top and a frame viewer.

Variable iris diaphragm, aperture settings from 4,7 to 36. Lens Kodak Ektar f 4,7 127 mm. The lens front can be removed and replaced by one of the 9 other standard lenses for this camera.

The flash unit is a standard Graflex product for this camera. It is attached at the side of the range finder and can be connected to the camera on 3 different sockets. Power supply from 3 standard batteries. The flash bulb is a big PF 100; 2 bulbs from Philips are included with the camera.

Included with the camera are a tripod from Kodak (picture below at the middle) and a store case (picture below right), in which 5 plateholders for 2 plates each and a Graphic film pack adapter.
